Learner’s & Driving License Fees

Driving License Download

You will receive the License Card on your address however you can get a printed copy or digital copy of driving license via Parivahan Sewa Portal or integrated apps.

Parivahan Sewa Portal (for printing a copy)

1. Visit Website
   First of all, open parivahan.gov.in, open the menu of “Online Services”, click on “Driving License Related Services.”

2. Procedure
   Select your state and click on the “Driving License” menu, select “Print Driving License”.

3. Fill details & Print
   Fill driving license number, date of birth, captcha code and submit. Your Driving License details will appear, print them to download a PDF copy.

DigiLocker or mParivahan App (for digital copy)

1. Installation of App: Install DigiLocker or mParivahan app from google app store.
2. Procedure: Login to your account or signup if you are using it for the first time with Aadhaar Cart Number or Mobile Number and enter your Driving License Number.
3. Download: Your Digital Driving License will appear so simply download it.

Driving License Application Status Check

It is very easy to check out the status of application for your Driving License, you can follow these steps to check the status;

1. Open Website

First of all, open sarathi.parivahan.gov.in for checking the status of your application.

2. Application Status Check Section
   Look or Search for a labeled “Application Status” section for proceeding.
3. Fill Details
   Now fill in all the details, often the application number, date of Birth, captcha code to ensure that you are not a robot and click on the Submit button.
   
   
4. Check Status
   After all that process, click on the “Submit” button and the Status of your application will be shown.

Renew Your Driving License

If your License expired and you want to renew it without any complexity, then follow the following credentials to renew it;

Before Time

It is a very important and best suggestion that you should start the renewal process one month before it expires. If you applied after 30 days from its expiration date then you should pay an extra fee of 100 rupees and if it expired more than five years ago then you need to apply for a new license.

1. Visit Website
   First of all, open parivahan.gov.in, open the menu of “Online Services,” click on “Driving License Related Services.”
2. State Selection
   Choose the correct state from where your license was issued and click on “Apply for Driving License Renewal.”
   
   
3. Fill Details
   Now fill in all the details, often the application number, date of Birth and captcha code to ensure that you are not a robot and click on “Get Driving License Details.”
4. Additional Information
   Select the correct license category, RTO, State and then proceed. Upload documents and pay the fee online.
5. RTO Verification
   Visit the local RTO on scheduled appointment within the original documents and your renewed Driving License will be sent to your registered address.

Duplicate Driving License Guide

Occasions of Need

• Lost or Destroyed: If you lost your original Driving License, damaged or it is destroyed then you need a Duplicate Driving License.
• Photo Update: If you want to update a more decent and perfect picture rather than the old pic then you can apply for it.

Necessary Documents

• Application Form 2: You need Application Form 2 for license application.
• Damaged License or Photocopies: Bring Damaged License or its photocopies if it is lost.
• Fees: You need to pay a fee ranging from 200 to 400 rupees.

4. Contact Info: Verify details by entering your mobile number, email, address and click on “Proceed.”
5. Self Declaration: Submit your physical fitness declaration test, Pay the fee and get print the receipt.
6. RTO Verification: Visit the local RTO on scheduled appointment within the original documents and your renewed Driving License will be sent to your registered address.

E-Challan

• Visit Website: First of all, open parivahan.gov.in, open the menu of “Online Services,” click on “echallan.”
• Redirection: You will be redirected to echallan.parivahan.gov.in which is especially for echallans services.
• Online Services: Now click on “Check Online Services” and you will show all the options for echallans.

How to Pay E-Challan

• Visit Website: First of all, open echallan.parivahan.gov.in, open the menu of “Check Online Services,” click on “echallan.”
• Check Challan Status: Click on “Get Challan Status.” Fill in the details like challan number, vehicle number, driving license number and enter captcha code.
• Get Details: Click on the “Get Details” button and all the details of the vehicle will be shown including violation type, fine amount and status whether the challan is paid or not.
• Pay Challan: Now Click on the “Pay Now” button displaying on the top of the website and you will be redirected to the payment gateway.
  
  
  
• Complete Payment: Choose the payment method often given 3 to 5 methods and follow the instructions given on the screen.
• Saving Receipt: After the payment you will receive a transaction ID, an SMS and receipt, save or print it for having proof.
